Welcome to Niko's Nook's first blog! It's a beautiful sunny day today and what better way to spend the day than to talk Crochet! Maybe though a little bit about us. We are Nicole and Sadie, two very crafty girls who love to crochet! We make crochet creations for whatever tickles your fancy! Need a photo prop, cute hat, head band, scarf, mitts, whatever your heart desires, we will give it a go! We are yarn addicts, (much to our spouses chagrin) and between the two of us have a rainbow of yarns in stock to choose from. Pretty much if you can find we will build it for you...at a very fair price to be sure!
Now onto other things...like crochet!
It's been a long while since I have blogged so please forgive me if I ramble a bit. So let's start today with Stash busters!
What is a stash buster you ask? Well it's basically small projects you can do to use up the bits of yarn left over from previous projects! A Classic stash buster that is timeless is the good old fashioned Granny Square blanket! Other things to help bust your stash are head bands book marks small hats...the list goes on and on. My current favorite stash buster is making flowers. I make them for hats and head bands and barrettes. Add a fun button into the mix and you have a super cute embellishment for any crochet item!
